Reverse phone lookup find out who called you

In short: LookupX is a reverse phone lookup for mobile and landline numbers. Enter a number with its country to see the carrier, line type and region, plus the name and public profiles linked to it when that information is publicly available. Fields that can't be found are shown as "not available", never guessed.

How reverse phone lookup works

Three steps, and you only see information that could actually be found.

1

Enter the number

Select the country and type the number. It is converted to the international E.164 format (for example +33612345678) so the right numbering plan is used.

2

Numbering-plan check

The number is matched against the national numbering plan to identify the country, the original carrier, the line type and the region.

3

Public sources check

We then look for a name, an address and public profiles linked to the number. Each field shows where it comes from, or "not available" if nothing was found.

When to use a reverse phone lookup — and what we never do

Good reasons to look up a number

  • Identify a missed call before calling back
  • Check whether an unknown number could be a scam or a robocall
  • Verify a seller or buyer before a transaction
  • Confirm a business number before sharing personal details

What LookupX never provides

  • Call history, call logs or text message content
  • Real-time location of a phone
  • Information from private accounts
  • Results for harassment or stalking: this breaks our terms and closes the account

Reverse phone lookup: frequently asked questions

How does reverse phone lookup work?

You enter a phone number with its country. LookupX first reads the numbering-plan data (country, carrier, line type, region), then checks publicly available sources for a name and public profiles linked to the number. Fields that cannot be found are shown as not available, never guessed.

What information can I get from a phone number?

Depending on the number and the country: the carrier, the line type (mobile, landline or VoIP), the region, and when publicly available, a name, an address and public social profiles. LookupX never provides call history, message content or real-time location.

Is reverse phone lookup legal?

LookupX only uses publicly available information and applies data-protection law, including the GDPR in Europe. Using results to harass, stalk or discriminate against someone is forbidden by our terms and leads to account closure.

How can I remove my phone number from LookupX?

Anyone can ask for their number to be removed from results, free of charge and without an account, using the removal form linked at the bottom of every page.

Why is there a first payment of €0.90?

The €0.90 payment starts a trial so you can check the quality of the results. Unless you cancel before the end of the trial, the subscription renews at €29.90 per month. You can cancel in one click from your account.
